Sight and Sounds

Yep, that sleek looking 4-door, all-wheel drive, 2010 Porsche Panamera 4S ($94k), parked right outside the Burmester setup - and sporting its own fully equipped Burmester surround system - had a lot of folks lined up for the chance to sit in the driver's seat.

The new horn-based Lansche Audio Cubus ($62k) loudspeaker replete with "fire in the hole" Corona tweeter, produced a sound that was among the best I've heard from this company. Hmm, wonder if it was because of that huge midrange horn?

Holger Stein of Steinmusic is shown preparing a battery for his Steinmusic Harmonizer. He installed a set in the Lansche Audio room. Time prevented me from hearing the results due to all the activity of this show. Beside, I have a set and can state with certainty the Harmonizers are among the greatest tweaks I've ever heard bar none.

Really liked the sound coming out of the Vandersteen/Aesthetix/HRS room. The $45k Model 7 loudspeakers sport a look and finish that's something to behold. Ditto the Harmonic Resolution System isolation platforms.

Always a big fan of the German Fischer and Fischer loudspeaker  (shown here is their 3-way model 770 loudspeaker), which is known for their super-inert slate enclosures, sane price structure and remarkable sound reproduction.

Stopped in the TAD room and noticed the usual large crowd this company normally attracts at events such as these. Nice sounding setup.
