Blaxploitation fans eat your heart out! A poppy field is torched and "Mommy" (Shelly Winters) is hurtin' something bad. Bent on revenge she sends out a hit squad to kill detective Cleopatra Jones. (Tamara Dobson) Car chases, karate chops, and funny named drug dealers like Doodle Bug (Antonio Fargas) Pickle and Snake provide the antics, while Mommy does her sleazy work, to this dated but fun film. Picture quality is very good considering the films date stamp.

Transferred in Widescreen letterbox 'Scope' aspect ratio of it's original theatrical exhibition.  Noise and artifacts show up constantly throughout but are not distracting. Color rendition is superb with decent flesh tone and black retention. Sound is stereophonic with the original score by jazz great J.J. Johnson. Right On!
