A small runaway show exploited cheaper exhibit space at a hotel a couple of miles away from MOC. I am not sure if the exhibitors aimed to attract a lot of visitors: there were only about six demo rooms, one on each floor. Spacey hotel rooms were beneficial for good sound.      

Marten Design Form series loudspeakers new offering from the Swedish company. Less expensive then acclaimed Coltrane with its unusual cabinet using FormFloor and FormCentre have triangularly shaped cabinets and sport ribbon tweeters.

      

Whenever I come to Munich (since 2003) for each High End, it always rains. The elements and the scale of the show do not leave much time to explore this attractive city.

Being an avid supporter of my local soccer team I could not miss Zenit St Petersburg was playing in Bayern Munich in the evening of the very first day of High End show. UEFA Cup semifinal attracted a lot of soccer fans. The Munich Alianz-Arena was filled to the capacity.          

The great Russian poet Fedor Tyutchev spent considerable time in XIX century Munich.   

The High End show in Germany serves as a major European event. Its location and perfect opportunities for networking bring forth new attendees and exhibitors each year. The show is very professionally organized by High End Society GmbH, which is an entity hired by an audio industry trade association for this very purpose. This helps to cut the costs for exhibitors. All the people at High End Society do their job very efficiently. All in all, a very good show once again. A must visit for me, and I trust anyone that truly loves this hobby. Yes, that means even from overseas, as Clement and Carlos did.
