Somehow the Austrian loudspeaker Weiner Loutsprechre Manufacture (WLM) always chose tubes to demonstrate with their wares: with each loudspeaker in their line boasting sensitivities in the high 90s, it's obvious to see why. This year it was a sweet romanticism that's rarely found in showroom venues thanks in part to Almarro products (top photo) and their hefty 6C33C tubes in particular. I honestly thought this combination sounded best compared to previous years and that's saying a lot considering how inexpensive Almarro products like the model A318A integrated goes for (above right - $1,500.00). Bravo!

MBL (top) and KEF both put on huge displays that gave show goers plenty to talk about.

GamuT Audio is known for making super extravagant products. This year was no exception as they introduced one heck of a sound in this nicely decorated room. Their new and large reference loudspeaker (whose name eludes me) was mightily impressive in size, sonics and price tag (about $140k).

Teac/Esoteric's ubiquitous VP of marketing Mark Gurvey (photo above), appears everywhere I see a stack of world-class Esoteric gear. Munich Germany was no exception and as usual he was there with the complete arsenal including Esoteric new A100 Triode Tube integrated ($24k above foreground and left).
