Venture Audio's Lee Njoo Ming (photo left, with Axiss importer prez Arturo Manzano), is another industry gentleman whose broad smile and welcoming handshake serves as an reminder that these shows are about much more than audio equipment.

The ultra-exquisite La Platine from J.C.Verdier and Schroeder was used in the Venture room.

When it comes to audio equipment Venture Audio has always been considered among the elite. Ming manufactures his own series of electronics including the Venture V100A mono amps ($67,500 per pair), VP100P preamplifier ($38k) and Grand Ultimate loudspeakers ($99k). All cabling throughout is Grand Reference Diamond, including AC wire and conditioners and is made by Venture Audio.  The sound was remarkably open and dimensional, which you'd expect from the speaker's location. But it was also natural and easy flowing: something I've come to expect from Venture Audio products.

KT Audio Imports did not hold back from putting on an impressive demo that featured the Acoustic Signature Reference Grande turntable ($34k photo above), GamuT their model S7 loudspeaker ($40k photo top), M250i mono amps ($26k), D3i dual-mono preamplifier ($9500), and CD3 CD player ($8900). GamuT also had on display their own series of Wormhole Signature interconnects ($3900/meter) and Wormhold speaker cables ($7k). A long admirer of GamuT electronics the sound of this setup was transparent, dynamic and exceptionally full-bodied, laying claim to outstanding low-end definition the S7s have been known for.
