Alfred Kainz of High-end Electronics and importer of the multi-driver Consensus Audio Conspiracy loudspeaker ($42k in standard veneer), is seen operating his room's electronics. The sound was impressively open and detailed compliments of Audio Note CDT-Three ($9k) and Audio Synthesis DAC ($9k). Franck Tchang's Acoustic Resonators were put to good use as they occupied the corners of this room. Cabling was by way of Advanced Listening Audio Cables (ALAC) while AC conditioner was by way of Audio Magic.

Didn't get the chance to listen to this setup but I've always been a fan of Venture Audio loudspeakers. Here they are strapped to a pair of 10-watt WAVAC Audio Labs mono amplifiers ($23k).

The Magico V3 ($27k) is a lot of loudspeaker for the money and might be among the best loudspeaker I've heard in its price range. However, the newly revised Tenor mono amps that provided great sound unfortunately now cost a whopping $90k!

Doug White (left) of The Voice That Is, was all smiles after expressing his amazing experiences with an Acoustic Revive RR-77 Schumann Resonator with AR's Aki Monobe.

I've become increasingly cynical for my age when I see prices as far out as these; TIDAL Piano loudspeaker: $40k! with accompanying TIDAL preos preamp: $44k; Chalice Audio Grail 845 tube amplifier: $80k (introductory price!). Last but not least, the Audiostone Pythagoras turntable with a Thales tonearm: $80k. Sound quality, overall was to die for but I actually felt sick after seeing the prices and left this particular room with a very bad taste in my mouth. This pricing of imported gear is getting way, way out of hand.
