Waterfall Acoustics of France debuted their all-glass 3-way Niagara Evo reference loudspeaker ($60k) with very impressive results. Audiophile historians have always warned against glass in listening rooms wrecking havoc due to their highly reflective properties. That duly noted, I found the sound of this loudspeaker just outstanding and more natural than a lot of traditional types. The only rough thing about the Niagara is their sticker price.

Simplicity at its best. Avalon Indras and Muse. Yes!

Avalon and Accuphase. Simple? No. But forever sexy and beautiful sounding! Got a chance to see the Accuphase DG-48 Digital Voicing Equalizer ($9500) for the first time in action. Not bad at all.

There was an Acoustic Revival at CES when the Lotus Group's Joe Cohen (photo right), and Acoustic Revive's Aki Monobe and I finally got a chance to chat. Monobe served as my tour guide during my week long stay in Japan's Gunma Prefecture (2 hours outside of Tokyo).

Joe Cohen's rather unique system is comprised around esoteric products I've never seen before. The loudspeakers, for example, feature Feastrex's (model D9eIII) field-coil drivers that alone cost $70k per pair! Crazy...yeah, I think so.
